FAQ
How incredible are your campers?
They are pretty frickin' cool.
How long does an order take?
We are currently producing camper kits in quarterly production runs. There are sometimes leftover kits which can ship in between runs.
Can I pick up my camper kit?
Yes! Please! We don't charge labor to make crates and arrange freight shipping.
How much is shipping?
Having shipped freight items for the last 6 years, the enterprise remains a complete mystery. $250-$450 for a ballpark range. Please email [email protected] for a more precise quote.
What if there is something I would like on my camper that isn't listed as an option?
We'd be happy to discuss your idea. We offer full CAD design and fabrication in house.
What are your campers made out of?
Camper kits are constructed of multiply Baltic Birch plywood.
How long does the kit take to build?
The short answer? It depends. The bulk of the labor involved is sealing and finishing the wood. With good organization and some room to spread out parts, 40 hours is doable. Stay tuned for our long weekend build-a-thon video. Hoping to break the 24 hour mark on a build!
Can you assemble/build our kit?
We are mainly focused on the kit development currently, but we may be available for custom builds and design.
What kind of tools do I need?
A cordless drill with drill and screwdriver bits, carpenters square/tape measure, socket set, sae hex wrenches/bits, small hand and bar clamps, a caulk gun, standard painting/sealing supplies. A brad nailer, 60" bar clamps, and a small unibit are highly recommended.
Is the trailer included?
The base trailer is not included with any kits. The standard 4' SPRIG was designed to mount on a 40x48 utility trailer with an extended tongue and will use our standard integrated fenders with inset wheel wells. Different utility trailers can be used, however some adaptation will be required to retain the aesthetics of the integral wheel cutouts. The BIGSPRIG was designed around a 5x8 utility trailer with outboard wheels and fenders.
What is required for the Pro-builder kit?
The Pro-Builder kit contains all of out CNC machined panels and none of the square cut pieces (floor, galley, cross supports, roof skins...) You will need a local source of plywood, ideally Baltic Birch, in 1/8", 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4". This is not usually found in big-box stores, but is generally available from plywood suppliers as it is widely used in making high end cabinets. Other materials could be substituted, but the roof skins will need to be flexible. No hardware is included, but a full spreadsheet of specified standard hardware is. A table saw and a trim router with quarter-round and chamfer bits are recommended
